Welcome, Neighbor!
The Mission Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the revival of Welcome Neighbor Day on September 19, 2009.  Historically, this popular local event  began decades ago as a way for local businesses to express their gratitude to the community for their patronage.  Soon it was expanded to publicly welcome new teachers to the area.

In the past, Welcome Neighbor Day has always been run by a handful of dedicated hardworking volunteers.  This time around, our vision is to promote the participation of the entire community.  So, we have come up with many new and exciting ideas to make this event a success.  This time,  scheduled games and activities are being assigned to businesses which we believe will best match the theme of each activity.

As a community-focused organization, Mission Chamber of Commerce believes that the return of Welcome Neighbor Day complements the philosophy of constructive community planning that seeks to create positive family enrichment.
